A Beautiful Summer Wedding at Hillside Farms

Oh my goodness, where do I even begin? I just got back from one of the most delightful weddings at Hillside Farms in Tenino, WA, and I can’t wait to share all the joyful details! Ashley and Derek tied the knot on what felt like the hottest day of summer—seriously, it may not have officially been a record breaker, but it sure felt like it! The sun was shining, and the energy was contagious.

The day kicked off with Ashley and Derek’s first look, and let me tell you, it was magical! They chose a stunning spot by the windmill right behind a lavender field. The soft purple blooms and the gentle breeze created the perfect backdrop for their sweet moment—it was picture-perfect in every sense.

Throughout the day, laughter and joy filled the air, making it clear that these two were surrounded by love. The altar was adorned with lush green ferns, creating a beautiful and natural atmosphere. It set such a lovely tone for their ceremony, blending perfectly with the rustic charm of Hillside Farms.

Now, let’s talk about one of my new favorite wedding traditions that I witnessed at this celebration: the bride and groom taking a picture of each other! How cute is that? It adds a fun twist to the day, letting them capture moments from each other’s perspectives. Definitely a tradition I’d love to see more of in the future!

The Reception

As the night rolled in, the party moved to the rustic barn for the reception. It was the perfect vibe—cozy yet lively! They even had lawn games like corn hole outside, which kept everyone entertained and added a lighthearted touch to the evening.

And just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, the night ended with Derek singing a private concert to all their friends. It’s a well known fact that “Bleeding Love” by Leona Lewis is Derek’s go to song and the crown was loving it! Cue the happy tears! It was such a hilarious moment, and you could feel the excitement radiating from everyone present.

All in all, Ashley and Derek’s wedding was a beautiful day filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable memories. Hillside Farms did not disappoint, and it was such a joy to witness these two start their journey together. Here’s to many more sunny days and sweet moments for this lovely couple!
